A style and trend which screams feminine, distinguished and tasteful, bringing a new way of thinking to your wardrobe. This is quiet luxury and how you can enjoy it and style it and buy yourself, making you feel lavish and chic.

So what is quiet luxury? To put it into short terms, it’s a style and lifestyle where you stick to 3 habits:

  • Commitment to fine quality pieces

  • No logo’s, no-one needs to know who you’re wearing in 2024

  • Keeping it cool with colours, muted tones are in. Simple but noticeable

Now that we’ve established what quiet luxury is, why is it popular and why do we love it? Well with a risen trend of overcompsumption, most people realise that quality over quantity is the way to go. With a large focus on investment of pieces and undercompsumption. With quiet luxury you have a slower and simplistic approach to fashion, with thoughtful shopping habits.

But it sounds boring doesn’t it? With my article I will explain how you can rock the trend but whilst adding your own personal and creative twist. Having a wardrobe just full of dark tones with no patterns or unique designs doesn’t sound much fun. Fashion should be done so you feel good, so find out how you can achieve a graceful way of style but still adding your own distinctive, individual touch to it. So read along and find your way into a new world of sophistication.

Adding the creative touch

Reading through this all you might think that with the muted tones and the simplistic cuts and shapes, quiet luxury can seem quite boring and plain, but it doesn’t have to be. The main message at WORC.COM is to always feel your most stylish in any type of clothes or trend, here I’ll mention some ways on how to spice up the sophisticated style whilst still looking and feeling fashionable and original.

  • Mixing both bright colours with the staple muted tones

An outfit can feel boring with just the same colours in rotation so why not add some shades like a ocean blue or a bubblegum pink. Many cashmere or wool sweaters can still look refined and sleek with outgoing colours.

  • Unique tailoring and cuts to items

Owning pieces which are all shaped a certain way can sometimes bring no life or personality to an outfit, so check out designers who create pieces specifically with a unique design to their clothes. Brands which are more into the street wear style can provide a twang to their clothes by beating normal tailoring and fitting standards and making clothes more relaxed and casual, alongside brands more on the avant garde niche which have clothes which are more into fashion being an art piece and tailoring their pieces to an unusual style. Read on for my quiet luxury brand recommendations.

  • The selection of jewellery and accessories you use

Accessories are always a must so picking out the right ones are important, whether you’re a gold girl or a silver, owning the right piece can brighten any simple outfit. When the outfit consists of plain colours and simple shapes, wearing unusual or quirky jewellery can add major character to your clothes. It could be fun pendants, irregular shapes or even layering it all together, this hack is easy but upgrades the quiet luxury to making it an individual style instead of just an everyday fashion trend. This rule applies for belts, hair pieces, bags and more, so have fun with it!

  • Adding graphic prints and different textures

Not everything has to be so plain Jane, finding clothes with eccentric graphic prints can perk up but still give you the smart feel and look to your outfit. You can do this by pairing some tailored suit trousers with a fun but casual graphic shirt from Nanushka.com or a classic maxi dress with a unusual raw denim look. But remember when it comes to textures don’t overdo it, chunky textures look good with smoother and lighter textures, same goes with colours and patterns. Find a style of texture or print which shows who you are and make the most if it, you can look cool whilst still looking graceful.
